April Showers Bring…
We all get busy with life. I’ve had a little of that but, tonight I’m sitting out under the pergola with some bourbon giving thought to several topic. Some short hitters:
-Donald just needs to keep getting things done and stay away from the dumb fights. The Pope’s opinion doesn’t matter. Period. Ignore it. No one has pillaged the common person over the centuries more than the Roman Catholic Church. There’s a reason they hoarde trillions, hide ped_s, and simp for the liberal idiocy. Money and keeping it.
-AI is becoming more scary. What’s come out should cause us to go back to 1950’s automobiles, install a wood fireplace, and move off the grid. Anthropocic-class AI is rapidly becoming the stuff that the Terminator movie was made of. In sandboxes (IT playgrounds), it’s shown a propensity to do anything to protect itself from being shut down. Once an advanced piece (yes, it will build itself at some point) gets out on the internet and hides itself on the dark web, God help us.
-The economy has mixed signals but, is surviving better than I expected given that the inflationary pressures that Trump inherited were worse that represented in the data. I don’t believe anything the Biden Admin put out regarding inflation. Actual price increases ran 2-5% higher than what was disclosed over the worst 2-3 years.
-I use my recent college-grad son and his friends as a bellwether for certain political activity. He has several buddies that were fairly liberal and anti-gun 5 years ago. Several of them have spoken with him about acquiring guns and probing the ‘why’ on a whole range of his conservative positions. With the events of the last several years, they have joined him as being a conspiracy theorist. More hope for America.
-When Nick Shirley broke the Minnesota fraud, it was quickly said that it was a drop in the bucket compared to California. Seems like that’s proving out. I want to see convictions. Now.
What do April shower’s bring? Sure flowers but, they bring a return to mowing grass. While it’s a chore, my 2-3 hours a week on my zero-turn is almost cathartic. Plus it signals a beginning to time poolside (yeah, having a pool in Ohio is a little like self-flogging for many reasons) and evening time outside under the stars. All good for the psyche.
Take care Patriots!
